It’s now the third year of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Numbers of infections, largely driven by the Omicron variant, are breaking records.
Despite this, the W.H.O. believes the pandemic can end this year if countries work together.
Some scientists believe the milder Omicron strain could be beginning of the end of the health crisis.
But is such confidence justified?
