DETROIT, May 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Genesis and Genesis Inspiration Foundation continue to champion youth education by funding STEAM and arts programs in Michigan. Genesis Inspiration Foundation donated $25,000 to Living Arts Detroit, a nonprofit that ignites creativity in youth through performing, visual, and media arts. Genesis Gives, the corporate social responsibility initiative of Genesis Motor America, also organized a STEAM workshop for nearly 50 students at South Hills Middle School.
“Education is the cornerstone of thriving communities,” said Brandon Ramirez, director, corporate social responsibility, Genesis Motor America. “Genesis is proud to support STEAM and arts programs that foster creativity, discovery, and innovation. We are passionate about providing the next generation with the opportunities and resources they need to succeed.”
Genesis Inspiration Foundation awarded a $25,000 grant to Living Arts Detroit. Working at the intersection of arts and learning, Living Arts provides a wide-range of arts-integrated education to students as young as 3 months through 18 years. Programming includes early childhood education, K-12 in-school artist residencies, robust afterschool arts classes, and more. These funds will help Living Arts expand access to high-quality arts experiences, empowering youth to lead with confidence and empathy while drawing strength from their cultures and communities.
At South Hills Middle School, Genesis hosted a STEAM workshop in collaboration with Child Creativity Lab. Nearly 50 middle school students learned about the product development process and engaged in an advanced technology demonstration of an electrified Genesis vehicle featuring recycled materials and zero emissions. Afterwards, the students conceptualized and constructed their own innovative future mobility vehicles with upcycled materials. This workshop blended interactive learning with real-world application, encouraging curiosity and ingenuity.
