In this end of year message, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, shares his three new year’s resolutions for 2022.
First, to end the pandemic by ensuring all governments reach the global target of vaccinating 70% of people in all countries by the middle of 2022.
Second, to build a stronger global framework for global health security. This can be supported by the negotiations staring in 2022 on a global pandemic accord.
Third, all countries must invest in stronger primary health care, as the foundation of universal health coverage.
