Community Gaming’s Inaugural 3XP Web3 Gaming Expo Sets Benchmark for Future of Gaming Industry

Community Gaming’s Inaugural 3XP Web3 Gaming Expo Sets Benchmark for Future of Gaming Industry3XP, the premier marketing destination for Web3 gaming, featured esports tournaments, gameplay booths and networking opportunities for studios, investors, and gamers.

The inaugural 3XP Web3 Gaming Expo, Community Gaming’s flagship event, took place on June 8-9 in Pasadena, California. With a focus on quality gameplay, the event brought together the industry’s top developers, thought leaders, investors, and content creators to promote the latest trends and innovations in web3 gaming.

3XP selectively featured Web3 games through immersive gameplay experiences at their respective booths. Games that were showcased included My Pet Hooligan, Dimensionals, Champions Ascension, Wildcard, Parallel, Aurory, The Machines Arena, MegaWeapon, MetalCore, The Bornless, Last Remains, DEADROP, Skyweaver, The Nemots, EV.io, Stella Fantasy, Lazy Soccer, Providence, Paradise Tycoon, DeFi Kingdoms, Bloodloop, Pulsar, Raini: Lords of Light, Spider Tanks, and Shrapnel.

The main stage, powered by Game7, featured over 100 speakers and offered a multi-faceted look into the rapidly growing landscape of Web3 gaming. Game7 served as the event’s top sponsor and one of the featured exhibitors showcasing their ecosystem partners, including Summon, Moonstream, Metamask and HyperPlay, which featured playtesting with 35 games in its library.

A second stage was run by DCENTRAL and featured metaverse, fashion, and gaming speakers. DCENTRAL rolled up their GM event into 3XP following E3’s cancellation. 3XP intends to fill the gap left by E3’s indefinite cancellation and welcome traditional games in 2024 that want to reach a new audience.

A major highlight was the Esports Arena sponsored by Brave and produced by Community Gaming. Community Gaming’s esports platform powered the arena’s tournament payouts and exhibitor rewards via its Questing XPeditions portal.

Streamers from 100 Thieves, Team Liquid, and Cloud9 faced off against popular web3 content creators Brycent, ClassyCrypto, Spike, CryptoStache, XBorg, Taki, Yellow Panther, and Alliestrasza in selected web3 titles. The arena Twitch livestream reached 372,000 unique viewers across both days.

“3XP represents an important milestone for our industry,” said Chris Gonsalves, cofounder of 3XP. “Web3 game development represents a shift in power dynamics back to the player. This new class of developers are building great games with open game economies that grant players digital property rights. 3XP demonstrated the growing maturity of the web3 ecosystem, solidifying that there’s a genuine renaissance occurring in the games industry.”

Now on View: ‘Grounded in Clay: The Spirit of Pueblo Pottery’ at the Vilcek Foundation

Now on View: ‘Grounded in Clay: The Spirit of Pueblo Pottery’ at the Vilcek FoundationDeveloped in partnership with the School for Advanced Research and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the exhibition features more than 100 historic and contemporary works of Native American pottery.

The Vilcek Foundation is pleased to present Grounded in Clay: The Spirit of Pueblo Pottery, with dual presentations at the foundation’s Manhattan headquarters and at the Metropolitan Museum of Art from July 2023 through June 2024. Developed in partnership with the School for Advanced Research (SAR), the exhibition includes more than 100 historical and contemporary works of Native American pottery originating in the Pueblo communities of what is now the southwestern United States.

The exhibition at the Vilcek Foundation opens July 13, 2023, and is on view through June 2, 2024, by appointment. Tours will be conducted by the foundation’s Native American Art Fellow, Povi Romero (Pojoaque, Cochiti, Santa Clara, and Ohkay Owingeh).

The works included in Grounded in Clay: The Spirit of Pueblo Pottery were selected by members of the Pueblo Pottery Collective from the Vilcek Collection and from the collections of the School for Advanced Research and the Indian Arts Research Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The collective, established specifically for the purpose of this exhibition, comprises more than 60 curators of diverse ages, backgrounds, and professions from more than 20 Native American communities, as well as non-Native museum professionals.

Curators wrote about the works they selected for the exhibition and its accompanying catalog. Grounded in Clay is enriched by their voices and the diversity of personal, historical, and cultural insights they bring to exhibition visitors’ understanding of these works. The curators’ essays range from recollections on the practices of gathering clay and preparing pigments to poetry and essays reflecting on the works and their meanings. Several curators wrote about the living traditions of pottery-making and today’s artists and makers whose work links the present and future of pottery-making to the rich and important history of pottery-making in Pueblo communities.

Felicia Garcia (Chumash) of the Santa Ynez Chumash Museum and Cultural Center and of Native American Art Magazine, writes, “Exhibitions like this are really pushing the needle forward within the field and changing the way that Native art is presented within these spaces. Through this diverse collective of Native voices, we can see what is possible within these institutions when it comes to representing Native communities in a more honest, positive, and accurate way.”

As Grounded in Clay: The Spirit of Pueblo Pottery opens in New York, the Vilcek Foundation launches a digital experience, Pueblo Pottery: Stories in Clay, online. The foundation worked with Pentagram to develop the experience, which serves to highlight and expand on the curatorial insights that make Grounded in Clay so unique, and to bring these insights to a wider audience. Users can navigate three-dimensional views of selected works of pottery that were captured using photogrammetry with the support of foundation partners at Cortina Productions and Forum One.

About Dead & Company

Dead & Company was formed in 2015 and quickly became one of the most successful touring bands year over year. Since its formation, the band has completed seven tours and became a record-breaking stadium act when it set Wrigley Field’s all-time concert attendance for a single concert, which still holds to this day. Having toured consistently since its 2015 debut, the band has held 164 concerts, performed 143 unique songs and has played to nearly four million fans.

Dead & Company has headlined iconic stadiums across the country including Fenway Park, Citi Field, Gillette Stadium, Folsom Field, Dodger Stadium, Wrigley Field, and Autzen Stadium, as well as multiple night-stands at Madison Square Garden, the Forum, Hollywood Bowl, and  Shoreline Amphitheatre. Between tours, Dead & Company hosts its annual “Playing in the  Sand,” an all-inclusive concert vacation that features multiple nights of Dead & Company on an intimate beach in Mexico.

Across all tours at the band’s legendary Participation Row, the Dead & Company community has taken more than 100,000 actions in support of various local nonprofits and national social impact organizations and causes including voter registration with HeadCount and environmental actions with REVERB. Since 2015, efforts on tour have eliminated the use of 100,000 single-use plastic water bottles at shows and raised funds to support climate justice and carbon-reduction projects, which prevented 33,700 tons of CO2e from entering the atmosphere, the equivalent of 83.5 million miles driven by gas-powered cars. Throughout the seven tours, the total raised directly from the band as well as fan auctions and other efforts is now over $3 million, providing direct support to HeadCount, REVERB and the Dead Family nonprofit organizations, as well as the nonprofit ocean conservation organization Oceana and MusiCares, among others.

Former Fashion, Beauty and Health Editor of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, Maureen Lippe Shares Her Most Personal Journey and One-of-a-Kind Formula for Success in Debut Book

Former Fashion, Beauty and Health Editor of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, Maureen Lippe Shares Her Most Personal Journey and One-of-a-Kind Formula for Success in Debut Book‘Radical Reinvention’ – Fearless Realignment in a Post-COVID-19 Complex World

Follow the turtle on wheels! …That is, the one on the cover of Radical Reinvention: Reimagine, Reset, Reinvent in a Disruptive World. Rich with life stories that surprise and advise in heaping doses, the book coaches readers through a dynamic and modern 8-Step Reinvention Toolkit that Maureen Lippe personally created, tested, and verified with therapists and brave fire starters who are also featured. Company reinventions such as Lippe Taylor Group, LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy), and Wells Fargo command a large section of the book, with sterling tips by brand transformation experts.

“During the pandemic, I desperately tried to keep my company and my husband alive and healthy, and while we more than doubled the company at a time when many agencies were laying off or furloughing workers, I sadly lost my husband to COVID-19,” said Radical Re-Inventor and serial reinventor Maureen Lippe, founder and chairman of iconic communications agency Lippe Taylor Group, based in New York City. “A Radical Reinvention is how I kept myself and my company alive. I went on a deep journey of rediscovery that was hard and radical, but I believe my story can help a lot of people who are struggling with the same need to reimagine and transform their lives and careers.”

Over the course of 30+ years since the inception of her agency, Lippe has provided brand-building counsel to leading companies, including Procter & Gamble, Galderma, Pfizer, Bayer, Johnson & Johnson, Allergan, Walmart, Clairol, IKEA, Nestlé, Keurig, Dr Pepper, Constellation Brands, Intel, Nordstrom, and many more. Lippe began her career as a fashion editor at Vogue magazine and then served as beauty and health editor at Harper’s Bazaar, where she was the first editor to incorporate health content into beauty pages. She was then an on-air correspondent on Live with Regis and Kathie Lee doing weekly makeover segments.

When Lippe’s beautiful life was swept away after the loss of her husband, her big love of almost 40 years—causing terror, uncertainty, and painful grief—she managed to reclaim her identity and more than double her business. Miraculously, out of hard work and heartache, Lippe created her unique 8-Step Reinvention Toolkit, which helped her realign and discover new facets of herself—with many emotional moments and resonance that it could help others.

“The turtle has reigned in the art of reinvention for 90 million years—thus, I made it my chosen book motif to introduce my personal and professional journey. As we know, the turtle retracts when stressed. After reading this book, you will learn how to be more resilient and not retract for long. You must put your wheels on and move forward. I also included other extraordinary Radical Re-Inventors who will leave you breathless…and brave,” added Lippe. Some include:

  • Samantha Lux, who Radically Reinvented her body to affirm her gender, with her mother, Irene Brank, who guides others to the radical resources they need for affirmation.
  • Eric Alva, who served in the Marines and helped to reinvent human rights in America after losing his leg in the Iraq War, playing an instrumental role in the repeal of the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy.
  • Fern Mallis, who reinvented the entire fashion industry.
  • Alina Lee, teen golf star-turned lawyer and activist reinventing how lawyers treat their clients.
  • Craig Stanland, who made it his business to help people reinvent after he served two years in a federal prison and lost it all.
  • Liz G. Bailey, who fled her abuser to start over with her two kids, reinventing herself to teach the signs of domestic violence and speak out loud for other survivors to leave.
  • Halena Cline, whose paintings and sculptures grace galleries, museums, and private collections worldwide only after she released her mind, body and spirit from an infamous cult obsessed with Armageddon, a place where personal reinvention—not to mention, invention—is forbidden.

Radical Reinvention, published by Blue Moon Press, is now available at Amazon and other fine book retailers. A special price is also available for Amazon Prime Week.

All book proceeds to benefit Step Up Women’s Network, a nonprofit helping provide structured mentorship programs, focused support, and inspiring connections to help girls, and those who identify with girlhood, define, and achieve their unique visions of success.
