Wellness Retreat Meets Art Exhibition: A New Genre of Psychedelic Experiences

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Get ready for a transformative journey as Coterie Public – Contemporary Art presents a mind-expanding event, without any of the substances typically associated with psychedelia. Blending wellness, art, and spirituality the experience aims to give out those “good vibes” everyone is always talking about. On February 15th from 4pm–7pm at Abpópa Hillcrest, San Diego, California, this event celebrates self-expression and holistic well-being. It’s recommended attendees plan on spending anywhere from 15-45 minutes or more at the free event to engage in the full experience. Depending on interests and immersion into offered modalities of expansion, it’s also encouraged guests wear comfortable clothing they can “move” or “relax” in, just in case striking a yoga pose or reclining in meditation is desired.

Curated by “Coco” (Colleen Mulligan), art dealer, yogi, and founder of Coterie Public, the event promises to be a welcoming atmosphere where one can find their “Zen”. Offering nourishing nibbles including vegan options (Gooseberries Kafe), fresh pressed juice (Ankh Juice of Life), sound healing (Good Karma Community), life-business guidance (Howard Coaching & Consulting), attendees will also find inspiration in the creations of Artist in Residence, Vincent Cordelle. With mediums spanning painting, intaglio printmaking, sculpture, and furniture design, Cordelle will also be showcasing his residence as part of the exhibition. The 300-square-foot hotel room underwent a transformation, fueled by the artist’s imagination, ingenuity, and skill from a stark white box with a steel beam awkwardly intersecting the space into something reminiscent of an interior featured in Architectural Digest. Cordelle’s sought-after evocative works in his signature style, an amalgamation of Baroque-esque chiaroscuro and abstract expressionism infused with figuration, will be available for acquisition on a first-come, first-serve basis. Although, some works may already be marked with red dots from the prior day’s Valentine’s Vernissage, taking place by appointment February 14th.

In addition to the art and wellness activities, founders of Myceliumatters, recently featured in Rolling Stone magazine (The Youth Movement Leading The Mushroom Renaissance by Robert Johnson) will be giving a presentation, further enriching the experience with insights into the “mycoverse”, the interconnectedness of life, and the transformative power of entheogenic plants and mushrooms.

This free event offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in mindfulness and positive energy amongst art born from the soul.
