GCAPP’s 2025 Rising Leaders Luncheon: Celebrating 30 Years of Impact and Empowering Youth

ATLANTA, March 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential (GCAPP) will celebrate 30 years of impact with its second annual Rising Leaders Luncheon on June 6 at the Cox Theatre in Atlanta. The event will bring together changemakers, public figures and young leaders for a day of recognition, celebration and action, reinforcing GCAPP’s commitment to empowering young people — Our Voice. Our Health. Our Future.

Since its founding in 1995, GCAPP has become a driving force in youth advocacy, offering essential programs in youth development, health education, physical activity, nutrition and parental engagement. As part of its Impact 2025 campaign, GCAPP has expanded its reach to more than 360,000 youth across Georgia, ensuring access to critical education and resources.

As GCAPP marks three decades of service, the organization will also launch new initiatives to extend its support for Georgia’s youth. Under the leadership of Dr. Ronald McNeill, president and CEO of GCAPP, the organization remains dedicated to equipping young people with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive.

“Recognizing and celebrating young leaders is at the heart of what we do,” McNeill said. “The Youth Ambassador of the Year Award is more than an honor — it’s a testament to the power of young people using their voices to create change. This year’s recipient embodies our mission of empowerment, leadership and advocacy. We are thrilled to celebrate their achievements and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.”
