WOODINVILLE, Wash., October 26, 2023 (Newswire.com) - Susabellas, a personalized Etsy shop, is delighted to share their culinary-inspired masterpiece: custom ceramic plates adorned with handwritten recipes. This unique offering is poised to elevate the art of gift-giving and create treasured keepsakes for food enthusiasts and families alike.
In a world where digital convenience often overshadows the nostalgia of handwritten recipes passed down through generations, Susabellas brings a heartfelt touch to the dining table. The shop specializes in meticulously crafting custom ceramic plates featuring handwritten family recipes, turning cherished culinary secrets into tangible, functional art. Whether its Grandma's chocolate pie, Dad's secret BBQ sauce, or Mom's chocolate chip cookies, these cherished recipes can now grace the dining table or hang beautifully on the wall, with the writing preserved directly into the glaze.
Founder and artisan Susan Shapiro started Susabellas in 2011 with “a dream to create classically beautiful gifts that mark a significant occasion, say ‘thank you,’ send love, or express remembrance.” Shapiro prides herself on creating quality ceramics and “truly believes it’s the thought that counts.” Because of this belief, Susabellas offers personalization options for every item in their online store.
The ceramic plates are kiln fired, glazed, fired again, personalized, and fired one remaining time to ensure that the plates are food safe, non-toxic, and that the handwritten recipe will never scratch or rub off. All of Susabellas’ items are lead-free.
The personalized plates are available in a variety of shapes and styles including:
- 8.25” x 8.25” Square Plate

Additional Information
Susan Shapiro began Susabellas in 2011 in her garage and has expanded to a ceramic studio with a full workforce. The name “Susabella” was the nickname given to Susan by her grandmother, Nonna. Always admiring her grandmother’s strong work ethic, Susan realized that it was only appropriate to use the nickname as the name for her business. When she’s not in the studio, Susan enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and the studio mascot, a shih tzu named Hazel.
